Beech is an even-grained, durable hardwood with high shock resistance. When exposed to sunlight, beech ages from a cream tone to a light rose brown colour.
This stepladder has been tested against our strictest standards for stability, durability and safety to withstand everyday use in your home for years.
Do not paint the step stool with ordinary paint due to the risk of slipping. However, you can treat it with STOCKARYD oil to protect the surface and enhance the wood grain pattern.
It’s smart to store things high up ‒ but sometimes it’s difficult to reach them. This step ladder makes it easier to reach things highest up in cabinets ‒ and it's also nice to look at.

In the artsy neighbourhood of Āgenskalns in Riga, live Signe Folka and Edgars Folks. They are a couple of artists who have found both their hobby and their profession in art. Their daughter Elīza was the one who applied for the IKEA makeover as she feels that her father's studio is in dire need of professional help. Before, her father had a separate studio elsewhere but had to give that one up. Since then, in this room, once his daughter's bedroom turned storage room, there was always also a tiny corner for work. Elisa is 100 % sure her father needs a room to call really his. That's some creative makeover Barba is in for!

Business owner and manager Reinis says he wishes the now stark and industrial interior would get some more warmth and cosines, so Alla sets out to fulfil this wish.
