Rule of the Lottery “IKEA Instant Lottery”

1.        Organiser of the Lottery and the Seller of the Lottery products: SIA “Paul Mason Properties”,  registration No. 50103951541, legal address: 2 Biķeru Street, Dreiliņi, Stopiņi rural territory, Ropaži municipality, LV-2130 (hereinafter – the Organiser of the Lottery).

2.        Territory of the Lottery: IKEA store at 2 Biķeru Street, Dreiliņi, Stopiņi rural territory, Ropaži municipality, LV-2130. Any resident of the Republic of Latvia is entitled to take part in the Lottery.
2.1.        Lottery product: any purchase at any price at the IKEA store. The purchase may not include alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

3.        Lottery period:
3.1.         Start of the Lottery: 1 March 2022. End of the Lottery: 31 March 2022.

4.        Prizes:
  • IKEA gift cards in the amount of 20 €:* 100.
  • Swedish meatballs/veggie balls meals:** 13'743.
  • Hotdogs:**** 32'067.
  • Ice-cream:*** 45'810.
Total values of prizes in EUR, including VAT: 39'610.01

* The validity period of a gift card is 1 year from the moment of issue.
** Meatballs meal or vegetable balls meal: coupon can be used at the IKEA Swedish restaurant (valid until 30.04.2022).
*** Hot dog with a sausage or a vegetarian hot dog: coupon can be used at the IKEA Swedish Bistro (valid until 30.04.2022).
**** Ice-cream: coupon can be used at the IKEA Swedish Bistro (valid until 30.04.2022).

5.        The amount of Lottery products available for purchase for participating in the Lottery, is not limited; but subject to reasonable demand.
5.1.        Lottery products may be available for purchase also before and after the period indicated in Paragraph 3, however purchasing Lottery goods outside the Lottery Period does not entitle the buyer to participate in the Lottery.
5.2.         91’720 (ninety-one thousand seven hundred and twenty) participants are expected to take part in the Lottery. The odds of winning are 91’720 (ninety-one thousand seven hundred and twenty) to 91’720 (ninety-one thousand seven hundred and twenty).
5.3.         All scratch-cards are the winning lots, meaning that every participant of the Lottery has a chance to win one of the 91’720 prizes.
5.4.        A participant may participate in the Lottery multiple times and win multiple prizes by purchasing another Lottery product at the next time of visiting the store.
5.5.        One can get only one prize for each purchase receipt; meaning, one purchase receipt can be exchanged for one scratch-card only once during the Lottery period.

6.        To take part in the Lottery and be eligible to receive a prize, you must make a purchase in any value at the IKEA store between 1 March 2022 and 31 March 2022 (or while scratch-cards are available).

7.        Any buyer purchasing goods at the store is entitled to a scratch-card and entry in the instant lottery. The card is issued at the checkout immediately after the payment of the purchase. One visit to the shop and payment at the checkout entitles you to one scratch-card, regardless of the number of receipts for your purchase. Cards are not issued for purchases at the Swedish Food Market, Swedish Bistro, Swedish Restaurant and online purchases.
7.1.         Every participant of the Lottery must retain the Lottery card in order to exchange it for a prize.
7.2.         The Organiser of the Lottery cannot predict how actively will the scratch-cards be requested and within what period after the start of the Lottery will all the scratch-cards be issued. If the scratch-cards run out at an earlier date, the Organiser of the Lottery will announce it in www.ikea.lv/lottery.
7.3.         Winning cards are not returned to the participant, but are kept by the Organiser of the Lottery.

8.        Additional expenses related to collection of prize other than those specified in these Rules, such as transport or telephone costs, will not be covered.

9.        Upon collection of the prize, the winner of the Lottery must hand over the scratch-card containing the details of the prize won.

10.        During the Lottery period, the Organiser of the Lottery shall not, at the request of the participant of the Lottery, exchange the won prizes for other prizes or pay out the value of the prizes in cash.

11.        The Organiser of the Lottery shall not be held accountable in the event of any neglect of these Lottery rules by participants of the Lottery.

12.        Any complaints regarding the organisation and/or conduct of the Lottery must be submitted in writing to the Organiser of the Lottery at SIA “Paul Mason Properties”, 2 Biķeru Street, Dreiliņi, Stopiņi rural territory, Ropaži municipality, LV-2130, by 1 April 2022, with an indication of “IKEA Instant Lottery”, describing in detail the objections and the reasoning, together with the documents or copies thereof referred to in the complaint.
12.1.        Claims submitted after 1 April 2022 shall have no legal effect.
12.2.        The Organiser of the Lottery shall consider the claim and respond to it within 15 (fifteen) days after the receipt. If the Organiser of the Lottery considers the claim justified, it shall reply specifying the procedure and terms for satisfying the claim.

13.        The rights and obligations of the Organiser of the Lottery and the participants are set out solely in these Lottery Rules. The information provided in the Lottery promotional materials is informative.
