About the project

The client wanted a modern and ergonomic layout with a dining area, kitchenette, four workstations and a meeting room with seating for six to eight people. For the dining area, the client wanted to include 30 seats for staff and a kitchenette with eight microwaves, three fridges and other appliances. The company also wanted to incorporate houseplants into the design and using dimensions provided by IKEA built a partition wall for FEJKA artificial plant decorations.

Against a backdrop of neutral tones, the blue and yellow colours stand out, complementing each other to create a striking contrast. The brightness of the yellow highlights the blue tones, making them more playful and creating a harmonious environment. Each room has a particular combination of colours, which creates a coherent colour palette in the overall composition. Artificial plants not only give the office a more lively and vibrant look, but also have a calming effect, helping to improve mood, productivity and concentration. And wood creates a pleasant atmosphere and perfectly complements the modern minimalist interior.

Interior trends in the office and lounge area

Functionality is the key feature of a modern interior. It is advisable to adapt the choice of furniture to the room. For the lounge area, easily movable tables and chairs are the perfect choice. In the meeting room, a folding table and chairs with wheels are useful to make the arrangement easily adaptable. To keep essentials close at hand, each workstation has both an IDASEN drawer units and the larger IDASEN shelves for less frequently needed items. The kitchen is divided into separate functional areas so that several employees can be in the room at the same time without disturbing each other.

In the corner of the room, a small seating area in a contemporary Scandinavian blue and yellow colour scheme is separated by EILIF screens to give employees a separate place to take a short break.
