“With the SANDLÖPARE collection, I wanted to create an exciting, colourful world where children decide the play and stories by using their imagination and spontaneity, instead of being served something ready-made. Hide and seek was a starting point, so some design details are deliberately hidden and there is always more to discover, explore and interact with. Children are not just spectators – they’re explorers and heroes on their own savannah adventure.”

IKEA collaborates with Nordens Ark, a non-profit foundation that focuses on nature conservation, conservation breeding and release, research and education. The collaboration has given us a deeper understanding of the efforts required to protect wild animals. We support the foundation by spreading knowledge about endangered species to children and adults. Together with Nordens Ark, we continue to develop products that evoke curiosity about our planet and its amazing nature and wildlife.
