Screws and any other fixing devices you might need to fix your solution securely to the wall (e.g. wall plugs) are not included.

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.

Ideas and inspiration

Timeless classic: a black and white interior
Timeless classic: a black and white interior

Black and white never goes out of fashion, right? IKEA Interior Designer Agita knows this better than anyone. In this episode, follow the transformation of a very simple teenager room that emerges as a true eye-catcher. Following the vision of the Designer, this interior draws its inspiration from the preferences and character of its inhabitant. 15-year-old Daniela possesses all the drive and energy of a young athlete, but still needs a place to relax and recharge. This room is her weekend haven but has long been in dire need of renovation.

In the last episode of the season, "Home idea with IKEA" visits a young family that has recently moved from a two-room apartment in a city to a house some distance from the metropolis. Elizabete and Renārs admit there is more than one room waiting for the final design, but the living room is the heart of their home and the place where most activities take place, so they wish to begin with their new start here. What are IKEA Interior Designer's Valērija ideas and suggestions for this room?

One room and more than one function? Surely the reality of many homes today. This applies also to Evija's and Juris' appartment where a cosy attic room is used both for work and leisure. The owners call it "the room where money is made and spent". It is a space for working and for hobbies (games, music and books). Evija and Juris admit to have wished for changes for a long time but never having the courage to actually make them happen. Will IKEA Interior Designer Nadežda manage to encourage them?

"Home idea with IKEA": 1 room for 2 brothers

Many of us have spent our childhood in the same room as our siblings, and many of us now have to figure out how to accommodate several children in the same room. A top issue in Ivanda's family of three children too. Brothers Arno and Otto live in a room that has not changed since they moved in. It's time for a change, but where to start?

It's ok to change your mind!
